TransLondon: Partners/SOFFAs policy
While TransLondon would dearly like to support SOFFAs, we are unable to include them in meetings at this present time. The Gender Trust, however, does offer support to partners and Michelle Bridgman would be happy to provide details of the Gender Trust’s partners support group. The organisers are aware that this decision is likely to be very disappointing for those trans people and partners who wanted to attend together, but TransLondon has been set up primarily to unite trans-identified, genderqueer and gender-questioning people and provide a forum for sharing and discussing trans-experiences.
Having said that, efforts will of course be taken to accommodate disabled trans people who need a SOFFA or carer to accompany them to TransLondon, in cases where it would be impossible for that trans person to attend meetings if there was not that help provided.
